Grafton Street Dinner Theatre is Halifax's most unique dining
experience. Where else can you enjoy the sights and sounds
of your favourite musical era while being served by characters
from that era. Our shows are lightheated musical comedies designed
to keep you laughing. We operate all year round, 3 to six shows
a week (depending on the season). Our shows start each evening
at 6:45pm and finish around 10pm.
The History
Grafton Street Dinner Theatre opened its doors in October
of 1987 with what has become its most popular show to date; Class
of '61. With the assistance of Don Groom, the producer of Feast
Dinner Theatre in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Grafton Street
Dinner Theatre was able to tap into the secret style of what has
become known as "Dinner Theatre" in the Maritimes. Mixing improvisational
comedy with the music of the time Grafton Street Dinner Theatre
reproduces the sights, sounds and atmosphere of any given year
in the history of this century. All the scripts are written for
Grafton Street Dinner Theatre with you the audience in mind. Interactive
comedy, music performed live every evening, and a talented cast
of performers, Grafton Street Dinner Theatre is a different show
every night. Click here to

The Venue
Our theatre is located on the third floor and is accessible
via stairs or an elevator. Our seating capacity is 140 at tables
ranging from 10 to 20 persons. While the shows are interactive
and performances occur through out the room, we have a raised
stage area where most of the musical numbers are performed.
